Get ready to giggle with everyone’s favorite little loveable monster Elmo as Warner Home Video (WHV) and Sesame Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Street, re-release Elmo Loves You! on DVD January 5, 2010. The love fest follows Elmo and friends on a sing-along adventure about love, emotions, and friendship. Elmo Loves You! also features special performances by music legends Trisha Yearwood, John Legend, and R.E.M.

Elmo has lots of love to share in the 46-minute fun-filled adventure Elmo Loves You! When a big gust of wind blows Elmo’s special surprise card away, Rosita tries to help Elmo chase after it. But just when the card seems to be out of reach for the monster friends, Super Grover comes to the rescue and helps save the day! The DVD features a special reflective treatment on the cover, the new song “Elmo Loves You” and a special music video about signing “I Love You.” This release also includes a bonus 5-song music CD featuring a collection of all-time favorite Sesame Street hits! “Warner Home Video is thrilled be the new exclusive home entertainment partner for Sesame Workshop and to be announcing the first of many Sesame Street titles to come,” said Amit Desai, WHV Vice President, of Family, Animation & Partner Brands Marketing. “Elmo has become one of the most loveable preschool characters of all time. We are very happy to be re-releasing Elmo Loves You! on DVD and helping Elmo continue to spread the love.”

Celebrating its impressive 40th anniversary this season, Sesame Street is the longest-running program in children’s television. The series has received more Emmy awards than any other show in television history (122), as well as a Lifetime Achievement Emmy Award honoring the 40th year.
